Our Chapter
We will meet at key events and at many of the others organized by YPY throughout the year. There will be times when members will communicate directly with one another and shape professional relationships at these events.
We believe that by working together, we can ensure the success of the chapters internationally. It’s exciting to think about the organizations we’ll put together with the support of experienced young professionals . We invite all key players to join in on the pleasure.

Meet the board of YPY Turkey
During his time at university, he focused on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Oğuz has now followed his interest for the marine sector after graduating. Oğuz had the opportunity to see up close many newly constructed yachts from the very beginning of landing. Oğuz is prepared to guide this outstanding group of young professionals in yachting in Turkey and supporting the YPY vision and mission.
OĞUZ BİLGİN
President
Bogdan started his career in yachting as marketing and sales manager for a shipyard in Italy in 2015. Over the years he grew his industry network and now represents the Turkish based shipyards HYSUCAT and BERING Yachts in Europe. Bogdan calls Monaco as his home and frequently commutes between Monaco, Germany and Turkey. In order to contribute to the development of the yachting industry in Turkey, Bogdan paired up with Oguz to establish the Young Yachting Professionals Turkey Chapter.

Idil is a Turkish qualified lawyer with a maritime law background. After graduating from Law School, she had an associate degree on Marina and Yacht Management. She has represented highest regarded yachting companies both domestic and international before courts for 6 years.

League Advisor
Award winning yacht designer from a naval architecture and marine engineering background. Sarp has been in the yachting industry for 3 years now. He is running CORNEAI Cyber Security, Sky Aviation and GUREN Design & Engineering. Sarp joined the YPY Board as Treasurer in 2022.

Banu has always been taken by the wind, spending her years kitesurfing and sailing. This passion led Banu into the yachting industry where she now for three years has been working for Turquoise Yachts with considerable responsibility and compelling influence within interior, project management, and currently as a creative marketing specialist.
Banu was born and raised in Denmark and is fluent in English, Danish and Turkish. With her multidisciplinary background she has a broad perspective and knowledge within the yachting industry.
Banu is one of the founding members of YPY Turkey and currently on the board as Marketing Coordinator.
Banu Sezgin
Marketing Coordinator
Graduated from Turkish Naval Academy, worked as an officer engineer in Turkish Navy. As a former national sailor, he has spent a great time in yachting sector during his student time. He completed his master’s degree on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer at Istanbul Technical University. After serving 7 years in Turkish Navy, he took roles as after sales manager and sales manager for well-known marine companies. In 2020, he opened his own marine survey company

Born and raised in Bodrum, Defne has always been in yachting through her family business. She graduated SOAS, University of London with a degree in BS Management and started her professional career in auditing and marketing. She then joined Aegean Yacht, starting into project management. Now she is a board member of Aegean Yacht. Defne is enthusiastic to be a part of this international community of young professionals.

She added vision and professionalism to herself throughout her university life. The sailing club she attended and the many sailing organizations and sailing races she attended became a stepping stone for her self-development. After graduating university she established a company which is Goca Gız. Goca Gız offers us two options that can be experienced in Göcek. The first option is a skippered charter tour tour in Göcek, which is intertwined with nature. The second option is the sailing festivals, in which many sailboats and catamarans participate with us.
After these ,in 2021, Beyza created digital contents and opened a Youtube channel called Goca Gız .Until today her channel had over 50 million followers. Thus, the company contributes pleasure to the sailing industry by using social media in an active and professional way.
