Our Chapter
In the UK, Young Professionals in Yachting was established 2015 and now counts more than 100 members in the London and across the country. Members meetings take place quarterly with guest speakers and networking at a variety of venues. Alongside these events we also organise various social events throughout the year and link with other chapters at worldwide industry events. Our Christmas party and South Coast sailing weekend have become unmissable traditions, together with the international sailing event.

Trainee Solicitor – Jaffa & Co
After receiving excellent academic results in his studies, Reece joined Jaffa & Co where he gained extensive experience across all of Jaffa & Co’s core practice areas. With a clientele focused on ultra-high net worth individuals, banks, and brokers, Reece frequently advises clients on superyacht sale and purchase transactions, financings and construction contracts.

Remie graduated with a law degree in the UK and then went onto work on superyachts in the Med; both private and charter.
When returning to the UK, Remie qualified as a lawyer and is now an associate in the yachts team at Hill Dickinson, advising a range of international clients on the sale and purchase of yachts.

I grew up traveling between Australian beaches and Swedish mountains. After traveling to Europe at every opportunity as an adult, I finally moved to London in 2018. With work experience across education, small business management and sustainable fashion events I fell into the Yachting industry when looking for a role in London that would bring new challenges and experiences. Over 5 years later I now working at Edmiston as a Yacht Account Manager within Yacht Management. As the industry grows and professionalises it is an exciting space to work in. I am fresh to YPY and am excited to get involved and see what is up and coming within the industry.

Gemma spent the last decade onboard as superyacht crew, clocking up many miles working on both sailing and motor yachts. While travelling the world, she built up her writing portfolio using her industry knowledge and skills gained from previous copywriting positions at travel companies. Gemma returned to land last year full-time and now uses her industry knowledge to write with authenticity. As well as her journalistic industry-based writing, she helps businesses and brands tell their story through various content writing services.

After completing a first-class degree in Psychology, Alice landed a job on board a 110m superyacht and has worked in both the private and charter sectors across the world. Upon returning to the UK, she continues to work within the industry as a part of the Charter Management team at Burgess.

Membership fees are £150/person/year. We also offer a corporate rate of £135/person/year when 4+ people from the same company join.
Membership gives you access to all our meetings as well as discounts for our special events and industry events throughout the year. Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December.
