Our Chapter
In the UK, Young Professionals in Yachting was established 2015 and now counts more than 100 members in the London and across the country. Members meetings take place quarterly with guest speakers and networking at a variety of venues. Alongside these events we also organise various social events throughout the year and link with other chapters at worldwide industry events. Our Christmas party and South Coast sailing weekend have become unmissable traditions, together with the international sailing event.

Meet the board of YPY United Kingdom
Reece is an Associate at Hannaford Turner, having joined the firm’s industry-leading Yachts and Luxury Assets team in July 2025. He holds an LL.B., LL.M., and LPC from the University of Law, London, graduating with excellent academic results. Reece advises on a broad range of luxury asset matters, with a particular focus on the sale and purchase, construction, and financing of superyachts and business jets.

After graduating with a Law degree, Nicole joined the superyacht industry spending over 4 years working on 30-80m yachts. Nicole later completed a master’s in international Maritime Law and passed the Solicitors Qualifying Exams. Now a paralegal at Hill Dickinson, Nicole is gaining qualifying work experience to qualify as a yacht lawyer.

After nearly two decades as a professional yachtsman and commanding as a Class 2 Master Mariner and Captain, Chester has transferred his maritime experience to shore-based management. He manages a prestigious fleet of superyachts for Burgess, ranging from 40meters (sub 500gt) to 3000gt+ Passenger Yacht code vessels. His experience makes him the perfect conduit to communicate with UHNW owners, guests, captains and crews.

Membership fees are £150/person/year. We also offer a corporate rate of £135/person/year when 4+ people from the same company join.
Membership gives you access to all our meetings as well as discounts for our special events and industry events throughout the year. Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December.
